This course is required for all Florida nurses and occupational therapists by the Florida Boards.

• Discuss ways to improve patient outcomes
• Explain the multi-element model that the AHRQ has adopted
• List patient safety goals as set forth by the Joint Commission
• Understand Florida's requirements for reporting medical errors
